Jim has been doing what he loves to do for over 40 years, creating paintings of people young and old, telling stories in his paintings of days gone by and the innocence of youth. “I love to paint children, there’s an innocence they have that I never get tired of trying to capture on canvas”. “My life couldn’t be more rewarding”. “Because of my love for Landscape Painting, Portraiture and The Historical Old West with its Cowboys, Native Americans, Mountain Men and Pioneers, I never run out ideas to paint”.

A member of the Northwest Rendezvous Group of Artists in Helena, MT, Jim has won the People's Choice Award 1981-1988-1993-1998-2001-2002-2007 and Merit Awards 1980 and 1988.
